Children's Museum - Part One

Alec and friends,

I had a great day (and Chuck did too) at the Indianapolis Children's Museum.   It is a fun place. I know that you have been there before for the Hot Wheels exhibit, but they have new exhibits too!   I first stopped at Dinosphere which is an exhibit that is permanent, meaning it will always be there.

Do you see us?

There was a paleontologist working, do you know what a paleontologist does? They are a type of scientist that studies the history of life on Earth. So in this case they are looking a dinosaur bones, but there are paleontologists that study other things like plant fossils.

Here is a picture of what the paleontologist was working on the day I visited

There are many, many displays and here is one I found interesting, although they say it is a new dinosaur it really is old.

Alec, do you remember the train ride we took at the Children's Museum? Although it wasn't a real ride, the train you saw was real, here is a picture of it

Here is the sign that says how they got the train engine into the building.

And another sign about what the train engine was used for

So, that is enough for today's blog, stay tuned for tomorrow for more adventures at the Indianapolis Children's Museum.

Happy Easter!!
